Puri-Rana-Ileana-Bujji film launched	Date: 09/04/2010

Rana Daggubati’s 3rd film was launched today at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad. For the first time Nallamalapu Sinivas is joining hands with Puri Jagannath to produce the film but this is the second hero from Daggubati family he is working with, the first being Venkatesh in ‘Chintakayala Ravi’. This Lakshmi Narasimha Productions will commence its regular shooting from September 13th onwards. Later in October the next schedule will be in Italy followed by the last schedule in Hyderabad. The film is planned to complete by November. Curvaceous beauty Ileana is going to play Rana’s love interest. The film launch was simple with a few friends and family members. Rana’s grandfather D Ramanaidu, his father D Suresh Babu and his uncle Venkatesh graced the occasion and blessed him. His cousin Naga Chaitanya also visited the spot and offered his best wishes to Rana, Ileana and the entire team.

The latest buzz in the industry is Shankar is going to give the title for Telugu and Tamil remake of Rajkumar’s ‘3 Idiots’ as ‘Rascals’. Ah Ah! Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Komaram Puli’ has received an appreciation from censor board and acquired an ‘A’ certificate without even a single cut. But the eagerness in Pawan’s fans to watch the film is testing their patience in the form of stay order from Madras High Court. However Allu Sirish in his twitter mentioned: “Once the court issues resolved, date will be announced officially. As of now its 9th/10th.”

Jeevita releases Resident Evil Trailers	Date: 09/04/2010

Visaka Talkies banner bought the Telugu rights of ‘Resident Evil’ directed by Paul W S Anderson and produced by Columbia Films banner. The trailers of the film were released actress Jeevita at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad. Later she said, “The trailers of this film are excellent. My children are awaiting the film’s release. Natti Kumar is a successful producer who is dubbing the films of neighbouring languages and releasing in AP theaters, now bringing the international films. Despite having tough competition, he succeeded in buying the film’s rights.” Natti Kumar said, “Resident Evil will be released in theaters worldwide on September 10th. In Andhra Pradesh, the movie will be released in English, Telugu and Hindi languages with 160 prints. We are releasing the 3D version in theaters like Prasad Imax, GVK, PVR, Cinemax and Adlabs in Hyderabad.”

Adi Nuvve contest – Press meet	Date: 09/04/2010

With Chaitanya and Aksha as lead pair, Neelam Veera Prasad is directing a film titled ‘Adi Nuvve’ under Vandana Arts banner. Producer Dr Srikanth is organizing a contest for the lovers as part of film’s promotion. To brief the details a press meet was organized at Dasapalli Hotel in Hyderabad. Dr K Srikanth, director Neelam Veera Prasad, hero Chaitanya, music director Jeevan Thomas and Kasi Vishwanath participated. The press meet programme began with the Fashion Show. Later speaking to the media director Neelam Veera Prasad said, “The recently released trailers and audio are getting very good response which is a happy sign. The songs are frequently aired at FM channel. The film acquired clean ‘U’ certificate from the censor board.” Producer Dr K Srikanth said, “This is my first production venture. We are going to hold a contest regarding the film and the winners will get the opportunity to dine with the lead pair of the film. We will announce the release date very soon.”

Kalyan Ram gets Kathi	Date: 09/04/2010

Recently at Film Chamber of Commerce, there was an objection by producer Danayya for the title ‘Kathi’ that was named after Kalyan Ram’s ongoing film. The Film Chamber also gave their verdict that if there are titles for the films that are sounding similar, the producers of that concerned film should bring the ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) from the person who registered it. In this line it appears Kalyan Ram eventually succeeded in owning the title ‘Kathi’. The movie ‘Kathi’ is being made by Kalyan Ram himself under NTR Arts banner. This is a complete mass film taking shape in the hands of director Mallikarjuna. Saranya Mohan, (heroine of Village Lo Vinayakudu & Happy Happyga) is playing the female lead.

As we all are aware by now, Mahesh Babu is playing Aamir Khan’s role in the Telugu version of ‘3 Idiots’, the latest development in the news regarding this film is the role of 2nd Idiot. Yes! It’s interesting to note that the 2nd Idiot is none other than our young and dynamic comedy hero Allari Naresh. It’s will be truly interesting to see Mahesh and Naresh on screen, isn’t it folks! Ileana to pair with Rana, film launching on Sat	Date: 09/03/2010

After wooing many young hearts in Andhra Pradesh through ‘Pokiri’, Ileana once again signed up to star in Puri Jagannath’s latest film with Rana as hero. According to Film Nagar sources, Ileana has signed this film after she has withdrawn from Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Kushiga’. Produced by Nallamalupu Srinivas, the film will be launched on Saturday. Musical scores for this film will be rendered by the duo Vishal-Sekhar, the ‘Chintakayala Ravi’ fame.

Komaram Puli at the mercy of Madras High Court	Date: 09/03/2010

Tough time for ‘Komaram Puli’ still seems to be continuing, a disappointment for Pawan Kalyan’s fans once again. Today, (September 3rd, 2010) the Madras High Court ordered to stop the release of ‘Komaram Puli’ following the petition filed by Chennai based production unit called Ravi Prasad unit. The case says that the cheque amounting to Rs 2 crores given by producer Singanamala Ramesh was bounced. So due to their amount not being cleared, they wanted a stay order on ‘Komaram Puli’ release.

Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya weds Ashwin Ramkumar	Date: 09/03/2010

Today, superstar Rajinikanth’s younger daughter Soundarya entered wedlock with Ashwin Ramkumar, a Chennai based businessman. An engagement took place on the night of September 2nd at Chennai for which Aishwarya Rai along with her husband Abhishek Bachchan made her presence felt. The next morning, i.e., on September 3rd, the grand wedding in traditional Tamil Brahmin style took place amidst a large gathering of top film personalities from both north and southern film industry. The guest list included who’s who of north and southern film industry and politics. Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, Padmasree Kamal Hassan, PRP leader Chiranjeevi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sridevi, Boney Kapoor, Surya, Jyothika, Prabhu Deva, Venkatesh, etc. A large variety of cuisines from all southern states with delicacies from Hyderabidi biriyani to popular Keralite dishes were served to the guests. Rajinikanth in his message to his fans said that even though he wanted to invite the fans to the wedding, he could not do so due to space constraint. Hence he requested them to bless the couple with large heart. Soundarya is presently making an animated film ‘Sultan The Warrior’, with her father Rajinikanth as lead actor. Rajinikanth is said to have dubbed his voice to the lead character. AR Rahman composed the music for the film.

Star hunt begins for Sekhar Kammula's Life is Beautiful	Date: 09/03/2010

As mentioned earlier, Sekhar Kammula is all set to begin his new venture titled ‘Life is Beautiful’. Like ‘Happy Days’, he is planning to make this movie also with the new star cast. So on search on a new talent he organized a press meet ot brief the details. The press meet was held at Taj Deccan in Hyderabad where Sekhar Kammula, Chandra Sekhar Kammula, Manohar of Amigo Creations and Radio Mirchi’s Jayanth. Speaking to the media Chandra Sekhar Kammula said, “We started Amigo Creations Ptv Ltd., in 1999 and produced the film ‘Dollar Dreams’. We are launching a star hunt programme for our latest venture ‘Life is Beautiful’. Although the title is in English, this is a Telugu movie.” Sekhar Kammula while speaking, “We are going to launch a new movie. We will begin with the star hunt followed by selection and then production. Radio Mirchi and Vodafone are associating with us in this star hunt programme. I’ve made light hearted films like ‘Anand’ and Happy Days’ in the past. So after ‘Leader’ I decided to make a film on life, hence ‘Life is Beautiful’. I’m sure many star heroes would come forward to do this film but as per the story concept I personally felt that the film should be made with new faces only. This is a feel good film like a good coffee and nice rain. The film requires three boys and three girls for the central roles.
